Hello cadets, this is your friendly neighborhood CS. I just have a few things that you all need to know: 1. Sign-in sheets have been placed in the lab. This is to keep track of who uses the computer, for how long, and the most commonly used programs. This will allow me to schedule maintenance during times when the computers are typically being used the least, as well as giving me an idea of what programs are popular and which ones have are no longer in use and need to be removed. Also, the "PC" field refers to the numbers posted on the computers. This just helps me track usage further. 2. I will be cleaning off the hard drives sometime next week. Please make every effort to remove any personal files you have on the computers. 3. On a related note, I noticed that cadet files are stored all over the drive, in system directories, program directories, even in the root directory. I encourage everyone who saves files to these computers to create a folder in the My Documents directory and keep all of your items in there. Same goes for cadet organizations. Please use your own name or organization's name as the title for the folder. I think that will make both your life and my own easier. 4. Please note the new rules posted in the cadet computer room. Most of them are pretty commonsense, but there are a few changes since last semester. 5. SIGN IN AND OUT. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments, or complaints. - C/3C Lisa Liebig Computer Services Officer (662) 325-0329 ICQ UIN: 36571465 AOL: LisaMLiebig MSN: releira@hotmail.com Y!: Releira MSU Air Force ROTC is a non-profit organization For information about Air Force ROTC, Please call 325-3810
