afrotc-l: uniform wear

To all cadets:

I have two uniform wear issues to address at this time. First, for all POC: you are still required to wear your BDU sleeves down until after spring break. Once we return from the break, you will be authorized to roll your sleeves up. GMC/FTP cadets will still have to wear their sleeves down as they are in a training environment.

The second issue is that of flight suits. Colonel Yankee and Captain Peachey have authorized us to make the following order. Only those cadets who have pilot/navigator slots, space & missile slots, ABM, or any other rated position are allowed to wear the flight suit. If you are applying for a slot, but do not yet have one, you cannot wear a flight suit. The only exceptions to this rule will be any cadets going to a Civil Air Patrol event(flight), or a specifically denoted recruiting event authorized by Captain Shapleigh. Note: recruiting lunch does not fall under that exception. Unless you fall into one of these categories, you cannot wear the flight suit. It is a symbol of a special honor given to certain cadets, and only those who have earned it shall be allowed to wear the flight suit. That is all for now...

Respectfully,

C/Col Hoffman
