afrotc-l: more uniform issues

This is to all Alt Lab cadets:
I don't know if all of you know our policy regarding uniform wear during the week. ALL Air Force ROTC cadets will wear their uniforms on Tuesdays, whether or not you are in regular lab or Alt Lab. ALL POC will wear some uniform combination on Wednesdays, as well as any GMC/FTP going to recruiting lunches. On both Tuesday and Wednesday you will wear your uniform until close of business (1700 hours). Alt Lab cadets have the extra responsibility of wearing their uniforms on Thursday during Alt Lab hours (1800-2000 hours). I do not want to see another cadet in Alt Lab going about campus on Tuesdays without the uniform that the Ops Orders stipulates to wear on said day. This goes for both POC and GMC/FTP. The only way to get out of wearing the uniform is if you have some type of lab which would involve chemicals and other items which could damage the uniform. That can only be approved by Captain Peachey, who then informs us of which cadets have that exception.
I am writing this now to let all cadets know the policy set out by AFROTC, Captain Peachey, and C/Col Shuff and myself. On Tuesday each cadet must wear his/her uniform. No excuses. Any cadets seen out of uniform on ordered days from here on through the rest of the semester will be dealt with on as severe a basis as C/Col Shuff and I can enforce. The bottom line is this: You should be proud of your uniform. It is a symbol of honor. Many men and women have worn it making the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation. Do not take our uniform for granted. If you find it a burden to put on the uniform, then you don't need to be here. Our cadre wants motivated cadets who will become good Air Force officers. So start taking some pride in what we do. That is all...
Respectfully,
C/Col HoffmanCW/CV
