afrotc-l: New AFROTC e-mail list

To All Cadets, Past and Present,

   During the last year there has been a steady increase in complaints 
concerning the afrotc-l e-mail list.  Case in point, this is not the first 
time I have tried to send this e-mail to everyone.  Therefore, a new AFROTC 
e-mail list has been created this semester entitled 
det-425@Lists.MsState.Edu.  I realize that virtually everyone has had 
trouble in trying to sign-up to the new list.  I have been in contact with 
ITS and Network Services to find the source of these problems and to try and 
make the subscription process simpler.  Most of the problems have been 
identified and corrected.  In an effort to speed up this transition, all 
current Det. 425 cadets have until COB Friday to subscribe to the new list.  
This deadline does not apply to anyone who is no longer enrolled at Det. 425 
but still wishes to keep up-to-date with the activities of your alma mater.  
I am turning in the paperwork to shutdown the afrotc-l e-mail list 23 Sep 
03.  I wish to apologize to the retired cadets and commissioned alumni for 
the short notice of this e-mail.

Instructions to subscribe to the new list are as follows:

Go to http://www.msstate.edu/cgi-bin/majordomo
Enter the e-mail address you wish to use in the box, click Find, and enter 
det-425, and click GO
Click the Sub? box by det-425, and click Apply
You should receive a couple of e-mails from Majordomo in a few minutes

Instructions to unsubscribe from the old list are as follows:

Enter the e-mail address you wish to use in the box, click Find, and enter 
afrotc-l, and click GO
Click the Sub? box by afrotc-l, and click Apply

If you wish to unsubscribe from the new list, then please substitute det-425 
for afrotc-l in the unsubscribe instructions.  Please contact me at
