The
Washington Mutual Foundation is providing $1 million in scholarships for public
school teachers nationwide to pursue National Board Certification. The
Foundation will pay up to half the $2,300 application fee. In addition,
zero-interest loans are available for the remainder of the fee. The National
Board for Professional Teaching Standards is administering the scholarships.
