Hello BCT teachers:

I appreciate the response I have received from so many of you concerning Gwen Ladner

and her family.  Marinna's visitation is tonight from McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune from 4-8 p.m.  Her funeral service is at 11 a.m. tomorrow from First Baptist Church in Picayune.  Do hope some of you BCT teachers will be able to see Gwen during this time.  For those of you who want to send her a card, her home address is:  Gwen Ladner, 305 Starky, Poplarville, MS 39470.

 

Several of you had asked me about what we could do to help the family.  When I called Pearl River Central High School to get Gwen's home address, I asked them and they suggested that we send any monetary donations directly to Gwen (at her home address) to help with the funeral expenses.  Gwen also plans to establish a Marinna Ladner scholarship fund from donations also. 

 

For those of you new to the BCT family, Gwen Ladner has been a BCT teacher for a number of years teaching at Pearl River Central High School in Carriere.  She was our FBLA consultant for several years and is a very dedicated mother, teacher, and FBLA adviser.  Her daughter Marinna grew up traveling with FBLA long before she was old enough to be a member and then was a very active in FBLA  for about six years and served as a state officer.  She was a freshman at Pearl River Junior College. 

 

Please keep the Ladner family in your prayers.
