The Mississippi Jumpstart Coalition is sponsoring the 2005-2006 Financial Literacy Education 2005 Art and Essay Contest for students in grades nine through twelve. The theme for the poster and essay contest is Financial Fitness for Life. Entries should be based on one of the following topics: The Art of Budgeting: Developing Health Spending Habits; Financial Planning: A Personal Fitness Plan for a Successful Financial Future; Credit: Buy Now, Pay Later. Entries will be judged on how well students convey the theme of their chosen topic. Scholarship awards of $1000 will be given to the top winner in each category. The deadline for all entries is December 9, 2005.
