Hey guys,

I will be brief this time:

---- MEMORY VERSE ----
This week we will memorize a very popular verse... Hebrews 4:12

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged
sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow;
it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

---- WORSHIP AND BIBLE STUDY ----
This week, Josh will be sharing with us as we continue our study on
discipleship. TAKE NOTE THAT OUR LOCATION WILL CHANGE THIS WEEK ONLY.
Instead of meeting in the Faculty Lounge, we will meet in Room 319 in the
Student Union.

---- SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT ----
Do you ever feel like there is no time to do all the things that you want
to do? Do you ever feel particularly that way when it's matter of being
with God (like praying, reading the Bible, going to Chi Alpha every
Thursday night at 7:00 p.m., etc.)? Why?

Think about Joshua, Moses successor. He had to lead the whole nation of
Israel... what a job! I bet he was a busy man. Yet, what was one of the
first things that Joshua was told to do, regardless of his busy life?

"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it
day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.
Then you will be prosperous and successful." (Joshua 1:8)

My point: do not let your busy schedule take you away from the REAL
prosperity and success that comes from obedience to God's Word. Check your
priorities. Do you need to change them? If so, do it! Because God's 
promise does not stop in verse 8, it keeps going:

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified;
do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you
go." (v.9)

God bless you this week. LET GOD SHINE THROUGH YOU THIS WEEK.
