chialpha-l: XA from Louisiana arrives this Saturday!

Hey everyone!  This is a big weekend for us... the Chi Alpha group from LA
will arrive on Satuday.  The purpose of their visit is to bring
encouragement to our group, to do outreach in our campus, to share the
Gospel, and to help us make Chi Alpha known at MSU. 

The activities that we will be having during this weekend and the rest of
the week are as follow:

- Saturday, Feb 9 ---> Fellowship Night!  We will get together at First
Assembly of God church at 6:30 p.m.  We will be eating pizza (free) and
play games.  It will be the best opportunity we will have to get to know
them. 

- On Sunday, the Louisiana XA group will go to church at First Assembly of
God with those of us that attend that church.  After the morning service,
we will have lunch at the church.  Everybody is welcome to come.  After
lunch (and maybe a short nap), we will give them a tour of the campus and
will be posting flyers (about Chi Alpha and about Tuesday night) in as
many buildings as we can.  After that, we will go to the church's evening
service.

- Monday and Tuesday in the morning ---> We will setup a book table
outside the Union both days from 8:00 to 2:00 p.m. aproximately. I
encourage you to be as involved as your schedule allows you. If you have
30 min, 1 or 2 hours free, come and help us.  The only thing you would
have to do is to talk to students, pass information (we will give away
Bibles, Christian literature, and XA info), and smile... that's it!

During those days, we will divide in groups (2-by-2) and be walking around 
campus just talking to students about God.  If you have never done
something similar, this would be a great opportunity to learn how to
approach students with the purpose of witnessing.  Not only do we want to
witness, but also to establish relationships... to make friends that could
become disciples... that could become disciplers... that could repeat the
cycle.  That's the only way in which we will be able to win our campus to
Christ! (2 Tim. 2:2)

On Monday night, we will have our regular prayer meeting in the Chapel at
7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, besides the activities already described above, the LA group
will be in the "free speech area" doing some skits.  After the book table
on Tuesday, we will have a "prayer walk".  If you have never been part of
any of these activities, I really encourage you to be part of them... you
will not regret it.

On Tuesday night, we will have a special meeting in the Chapel of Memories 
at 7:00 p.m.  ... "TUESDAY NIGHT LIVE" will be a time to worship and to
share with others what God has done in our lives.  We are praying and
believing that this event will lead students to Christ (either to be
saved or to rededicate their lives to Him).  I urge you to invite as many
people as possible to this event.

- Wednesday is the last day that the LA-XA will be here... they will
probably leave from Stakville in the morning.

- THURSDAY ---> As usual, we will meet in the Faculty Lounge (Union 300) @
7:00 p.m.  However, our meeting will not be as usual... more details to
come later.


Wow... long email, huh? Well, we have a lot of stuff going on the next few
days.  Once again I urge you to be as involved as possible... we will have
a great and blessed time with our brothers and sisters in Christ from LA.
