Here is the low down on this weekend.
Schedule:
Friday
7:00 p.m. -- Chi Alpha Meeting, Alston Hall, Room 30
9:00 p.m. -- After Fellowship Fellowship at the XA House (this will include free pizza, drinks and desserts, a Ping-Pong tourney, an Air-Hockey Tourney, a Nintendo Tourney, Board Games, etc.)
1:00 a.m. (or so) -- Men will sleep at XA House, women will sleep at XA Girls House and other places around campus.
Saturday
10:00 a.m. -- Brunch for all of the students at respective houses (Brunch for campus pastors at Shane & Shelley's house)
12:30 -- UA students need to get to the stadium if they want a seat.
2:30 -- Kick-off
Snacks will be available for those who stick around to watch the game at the XA House.
Items to Bring: For students -- Sleeping bags, or sheets, or blankets (tell them to pretend like they are going on a camp-out.) and pillows. Towels (if they want to bathe). A change of clothes (or not).
Directions:
From Birmingham -- Take I-20/59 South/West to Tuscaloosa (exit 73). From the exit veer right on McFarland Boulevard. Take McFarland to the University Boulevard exit. Veer left off of that exit. Stay straight on University Boulevard thrrough campus. After you pass Denny Chimes on your right, and the President's Mansion on your left, you will come to the second stop light (Stadium Drive). Turn right on Stadium Drive. Alston Hall will be the second building on your right. Right after Alston Hall, the street forks. Please choose a fork (probably the one to the left) and look for a parking space. Parking is going to be horrible this weekend. Once you find a suitable space you will need to leave your cars there all Friday night and Saturday (don't worry Alston Hall is only a block from the XA House). Our XA students will shuttle you to where you need to be. This is an inconvience that we cannot help. Try to car-pool or bring church vans if at all possible to help with the parking situation.
On Friday night there will be a LARGE pep-rally just about two blocks from our meeting. Parking will be horrible. Just try your best to find a space.
Our meeting starts at 7:00.
