I ordered the keyboarding "masks" at the end of last year so that my students
would be able to begin using them from the beginning of the year.  I think
they are wonderful!  My students began passing their 30 net words (and are
going above and beyond that much) sooner than in the years that I didn't use
the covers....and I owe it all to the "masks".  Like someone else has already
stated, my students do look down at the keys sometimes, however, it is much
less common with the covers on the keyboards.  

I had a student to enroll in my class from another district (after Christmas)
that did not have the covers.  I am making him go back through the keyboarding
package with the covers, because I found that he did not know his keys!  I
think this proves that they are beneficial!
