Hi, I am wondering how many of you are on 9 month contracts and how many of you are on 10 month contracts. I was told that this decision is a "district" decision. I am currently on a 9 month contract and I am teaching at an "E" site. I am finding that I am putting in a lot of extra hours and I believe that if I am doing the work of a 10-month employee, I should be paid for it. Is there any possibility of the state requring all Tech-Prep (vocational) teachers be paid on a ten month contract? I was also told by my director that the first year required a lot of extra work that would not be needed after the first year, but I don't see how any year would be any different. There are so many things that I have to do in my lab that cannot be done at home:-) Overworked and Underpaid...
