A good follow-up course for Computer Discovery is the vocational class, BCT. I taught vocational education at a vo-tech for nine years and a lot of the same things that we teach in CD are reinforced in BCT, but more advanced. I would strongly encourage any student who does well in CD to take BCT at their vocational centers, especially if other courses are not offered in your school. They can take one or two years there and the second year is much more in depth. The only problem is convincing the counselors that vocational education is NOT only for those students who do not plan to go to college.
