Re: computerdisc-l: Projector for Computer

When I was still in the Computer Discovery classroom, I researched contests
for a projector. I found one such contest and have provided the url for you:

http://www.prxm.com/site/Products/Education/default.cfm

My idea at that time was to justify it's need by having my Computer
Discovery students do presentations (we were using Hyperstudio as an
addition to the curriculum) for the teachers in our schools. We were going
to do the presentations, using scanners, digital cameras, the Internet,
with the subject area teachers monitoring content.

Unfortunately, I could not get the teachers in the school interested, and
as the contest had concluded for that year, I didn't do try the next. I
then left the Computer Discovery classroom.

You may want to check this site, as well as research for some others that
may provide similar opportunities. The kids love presentation software,
and in my opinion that can help justify a projector.
