I used Gaggle for email this year and it was also a night mare. If you set it up to block ALL inappropriate language, you could spend an hour or two a day in the "block" folder. My students learned to put ** and XX , etc to try to block words so I had to say ANY form of the word would go to my blocked folder. I also had so much trouble with kids telling others their password OR some figuring out others passwords. I had one instance of someone going into someone else's email account and copying a letter and sending it to someone. I spent a whole weekend with parents fighting about that. Also, they would go to gaggle and switch to hotmail when they thought I would not see them. Unless I change my mind, I will not allow email at all next year unless they use the school's Pegasus email and then the tech coordinator will handle all misuses. I'm sorry I ran on and on but allowing email has been much more hassle than it was worth. "Cassandra A.
