computerdisc-l: National Board

I just went to a National Board Certification workshop at USM.  It is not
offered through the University, but the University has programs to help
teachers prepare for it.

You can get information by calling 1-800-22-TEACH   or their website is
http://www.nbpts.org

You are eligible if you have your bachelors degree, have taught for 3 years,
and hold a teacher license for those three years.

They do now have a standard for computer discovery (vo-tech).  Vocational
Education Standards for National Board Certification.
The portfolio used would be "Early Adolescence throu Young Adulthood/Career
and Technical Education.
