I want advice about student created web pages. Although we haven't got to it yet, I would like to use Netscape Composer for students to create their own web pages. Currently, students are creating Hyperstudio projects that are autobiographical in nature. This was to lead to personal web pages via Netscape Composer. I am torn as to whether or not to let these pages be "live" on the Internet or just save them to my server so that no "bad" people can get to any student information. If I just save the pages to my server, students will not be able to view their pages from anywhere else but my classroom. The curriculum says do it, but we're adviced not to let any personal student information be advertised on the Internet. Meanwhile, I have students that already have personal web pages created from home (without me) via other sources like Angelfire and Homestead. What do you think? Cassandra cas@olemiss.edu
