This was very simple to prepare. I am attaching a tutorial. The software
if free and you could use this in your classroom if you have a digital
camera. You can take pictures of your class and make slideshows for
parents. You could let your students make pictures, select music and
generate slideshows about different careers, etc. This is a very
inexpensive way to teach them how to use multimedia. Try it! or let your
students try it.

If you need help, email me.

Title: Streaming Video

Streaming Video

To make free video for the web you will need a digital camera or a digital camcorder.  The one I use is the Sony Mavica.  Your digital camera will have an instruction manual that will walk you through making and playing still shots and movies.  If you do not have a digital camera or camcorder you can search the Web for information on the best ones to buy.

When you take your shots or movies you will save them to disk or tape.  If you use disks, you can insert the disk in the computer and upload.  If you use tape you will need to connect your camera to the computer for downloading.  Again, you manual will show you how to do that.

If you want to learn how to make slideshows and put these on the Web, download RealSlideshow software.  It is free.  Be sure to install it.  The online tutorial will show you how it works.

Practice taking some pictures or small movies and make a slideshow.  Upload it in one of the free services like Geocities and send me the url.
