Here are some good web sites that discuss careers and Mississippi:

http://www.mississippiandnissan.com/ - This talks about the Mississippi/Nissan partnership

http://mississippi.org/ - I love this web site because it has a place where students can learn about all of the GREAT things our beautiful state has to offer. It had a place where you can order a video that has Morgan Freeman discussing the Mississippi Economy, but I can’t find it now. There is a place where it gives the entire newscast that Mississippi made on national news (in .pdf format).

You could have your kids read some of this information and write about or discuss their findings. You may even search for some local news station web sites.
