There should be a computer for this student.... and he can do his keyboarding from this... You can set up his own computer at his house by installing one of the typing tutors (Micro-Type is easiest for keep records. He can print his reports and send them to you. YOu can also let him work on some word processing assignments, an autobiography, a block style letter, an outline. A sample book of what the assignments look like when completed would be a big help.. I really don't think it will be too difficult for this student to keep up with his class. Perhaps his parents can even get a tutor for him, or one or some of his students to come by and spend 15 minutes each day showing him what they learned in the classroom..... HEY what a great community service project for your classes... I agree with the counslor, let him at least attempt to go on with his work. He needs all the morale boost he can get at this point don't you think. Oh yeah there are many tutorials offered on the internet that teach you how to use each program we use in the lab. The power point tutorial is great, and there are many typing tutors. And not something I would recommend, but why can you the teacher stop by and just test him on the material (typing test)... Well that is my 2 cents worth... D/Dugan --- Marilyn Bowen <mdb7@ra.msstate.edu> wrote: > Maybe he would qualify for a home computer? Does he > have one? Will he > have access in the rehap center?
