computerdisc-l: Copyright and Fair Use Guidelines (good information)

Title: Copyright and Fair Use Guidelines (good information)

Hey Everyone!

I receive a great magazine called Technology and Learning.  It is free, and you can start a subscription by going to www.techlearning.com

I wanted to pass along an article.  I thought you could use the information, but more importantly, I thought it would be great for students to read.  It has a lot of good information on Copyright and Fair Use Guidelines (something that is probably an issue in your classroom).  The information is linked below.

An Educators Guide to Copyright and Fair Use

 http://techlearning.com/db_area/archives/TL/2002/10/copyright.html

There is a quiz that you can take to see if you (or your students) know about copyright

 http://techlearning.com/db_area/archives/TL/2002/10/copyright_quiz.html

There is also a chart that was designed to inform teachers of what they may do under the law.  It is a PDF file

http://techlearning.com/db_area/archives/TL/2002/10/copyright_chart.pdf

All of this information may also be accessed by going to the RCU Online Learning Series (http://www.rcuonlinelearning.com).
