Last year I asked this question and many of you were nice enough to respond. I am asking it again because all of my saved emails got deleted and I have a meeting coming up next week with out special education director. At my school our inclusion kids are given a study guide for all tests (ha - the test) and take their tests in the sped teacher's room. She in turns checks all of their answers and allows them to be re-done if they are wrong. (Am I the only one who sees a problems with this?) I allow students to come in my room both recesses to catch up any work they are behind in but many do not take advantage of this. What more am I required to do? These kids are on diploma track and are getting the same piece of paper regular ed kids are. Are we supposed to be passing these kids because they are sped even if they cannot pass the objectives?
