George Mason University's (GMU) PT3 grant's next scheduled webcast will be on Wednesday November 6 at 1:00 EST. To access the webcast, go to http://www.kidzonline.org/techmentor/ and after 12:45 click on the 300 & 56k at the bottom of the page which will automatically launch Windows Media Player and the webcast. This Webcast is on Assistive Technology for people with disabilities and will provide an overview of these technologies with hands-on demonstrations. It will be aired live from GMU's Assistive Technology lab. We have not had much luck with close-captionning the webcasts when we air them live, but we will have transcripts available on the website once the Webcast is archived. Those can be found at http://www.techmentor.org/webcasts.html I know several of you have had trouble connecting to the WebCasts during live transmission. If you wish to test your computer system in advance you can view the archived streaming video at http://www.techmentor.org/Claspy.html. (Need Windows Media Player for live viewing webcasts). If you have problems, please call 571.203.8990 on Wednesdays and Fridays between 11 AM and 5 PM for technical support. Our previous WebCasts are available at http://www.techmentor.org/webcasts.html. Please, let me know if you view the Webcasts, either live or from the archive as we are collecting data for our evaluation report. This WebCast will be archived within a week or two. As always, we appreciate your feedback. --Debbie -- Debra Sprague Associate Professor Editor, Journal of Technology and Teacher Education George Mason University 4400 University Dr., MS 5D6 Fairfax, VA 22030 Phone: 703-993-2069 Fax: 703-993-2722 dspragu1@gmu.edu
