I just got back from a presentation from Dr. Sandra Harpole. Dr. Harpole is a research professor at MSU and she is offering a 3-week workshop for the summer of 2003. The workshop is titled Research Experiences in Industry. I know that 3 weeks of your summer is a lot to give up, but you will get paid for your time. The teachers that I spoke with today could not say enough good things about this workshop. Applications are available on-line at http://csmt.msstate.edu/ or call the Center for Science, Mathematics, and Technology at 662.325.2992. You can also email Debbie weeks (dbw@csmt.msstate.edu) or Lori Hill (lah150@csmt.msstate.edu). Please forward this information to the science, math, and other technology teachers at your school who may be interested. Dr. Harpole stated that she wanted teams of teachers from schools to attend if possible.
The workshop is offered to Math, Science, and Technology teachers throughout the state. This workshop will not cost teachers any money!!!!! Here is the workshop information.
