computerdisc-l: accomodation

I have a student who is a senior. He moved here from Detroit. He has been coming to my class since the beginning of school. We just started our keyboarding unit at the end of last week. He came to me yesterday to tell me that he has webbed fingers on his right hand and his fingers are much shorter on that hand also. He was asking if there was a different method of typing that he could use. He said that he experienced a lot of pain on Friday when we did a lot of typing for the first time.

I had never noticed his hand before. I told him that he would just have to go slower and rest it often. Have any of you ever had this problem? What did you do to accomodate that student.

Thanks for your help.
