Dear Mario and Anyone Else Interested:
I've been away for three weeks, so I apologize for the length of time
between question and answer. However, here's what the tech person at the
Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind found out when I asked him about
where to get Five Finger Typist, a typing program for one-handed typists
which doesn't require an alternate keyboard.
Sandy

The only information I can find on the Internet indicates that the
company is SoftDawn. I have a copy somewhere in the office that is, I
think, newer than the version 1.5 I’m finding referenced on the
Internet. The URL I found there is:
http://members.ozemail.com.au/~softdawn/software/fft.html
<http://members.ozemail.com.au/%7Esoftdawn/software/fft.html>
I can check when I get back to the office next week for more
information. In the meantime, feel free to use my name as a reference
and I’ll try to help anyone who is interested in obtaining a copy.

Do you happen to remember who makes the Five Finger Typist? A guy on the
AER listserv is asking for a program to teach keyboarding to a
one-handed student. I know the name of this program but not its
manufacturer. Thanks. Hope your summer is going well! I leave today for
Orlando and the AER conference and then fly straight from there to New
Jersey and training with the new dog. I can hardly wait to meet
her--whoever and whatever she is! Florry left for her new home in
SanDiego a week ago today, so I'm realizing once more how much slower
and more labor-intensive the cane is and how much I enjoy the freedom of
a dog! Take care!
Sandy
