Soccer demo - hard - words, symbols, numbers:
http://www.customtyping.com/goalie_demo.htm

Flash Typing - good tutor & game:
http://flashtyping.com/demo.html

Axis of Evil - really hard, but adolescent boys seem to like it:
http://bluedojo.com/publisher2/webgames/31/game31w.php?id=31

Barracuda - whole words:
http://www.powertyping.com/baracuda/baracuda.htm

This is an interesting one -- it's in Japanese and English - kids like the
anime intro to it:
http://www.younganimal.com/airmaster/game/

Online typing test - scored, online high scores - letters only:
http://hannu.daug.net/letters/index.php

Star Wars Fighter Typing - letters, kinda hard, moves fast:
http://www.brentsplanet.com/tie-p%20fighter.html

Letters -
http://www.project-design.com/PlayGame/typing_01.swf

Bubbles - falling letters, timed, scored:
http://www.typingmaster.com/general/java/bubbleapplet.asp?keys=abcdefghijklm
nopqrstuvwxyz&duration=1&Submit=Play+Game

Letter Speed Race - letters only, timed and scored:
http://www.freewebs.com/weddell/findtheletter.html

http://www.eyewire.com/magazine/columns/scott/fontfolly/ffolly.html

SpiderMan Web of Words - it's a scrambled word game that can be used to
practice typing -- you hafta wait for an ad to run before you can play, tho:

Keyboarding Quiz:

DOWNLOADS:
Tux Typing 2 - if you only use one, this is the best free one:
http://tuxtype.sourceforge.net/download/

I also like Keyboard Master.Demo..not as well known, as it's made in Poland.
http://www.nahliksoft.com/keybmas.html

The full version has a bunch of cool pictures that you uncover, piece by
piece as you type the words correctly -- the demo, unfortunately, has a
tasteful art nude as the picture. They sent me a different demo file with
puppies & hamsters when I asked for it -- I'll send it to anyone who wants
it, or they'll probably send it to you.

Mario Brothers - great DOS program, keeps data on each student
http://www.ncs-tech.org/?p=239

TypeBlaster Game Demo download - fun game, but demo doesn't run that long.
Be sure to read directions - the interface isn't very intuitive:
http://www.typeblaster.com/

Keyboarder - made by adolescent boys for adolescent boys -- pretty fun:
http://firefang.com/downloads/

Four typing games made with Game Maker -- again, games made by boys for
boys, but they're good:
AlphaBubbles - can be made to be very easy -- real cute:
http://www.blackratstudios.com/games3.html

TypeStriker - whole words, made with Game Maker:
http://www.sheepsheet.com/_gaming/typestriker/typestriker.htm

TypoGun - whole words, made with Game Maker:
http://www.sheepsheet.com/_gaming/typogun/typogun.htm

GemTyper - simple, made with Game Maker
http://forums.gamemaker.nl/lofiversion/index.php?t97289.html

Garfield's Typing Pal Demo - not as much fun as you'd think it would be;
kinda boring for younger kids, but good opening tutorial. The Cookie Catch
game is a standalone executable hidden in the folder there -- I'm using just
that game and not the whole program with my afterschool kids:
http://www.demarque.com/demarque/english/shopping/visualiser.asp?41

10 Finger Breakout -- fun, difficult game of Breakout where you type the
correct letter to move the paddle:
http://www.giletech.com/Typing-Tutor.htm

Typing of the Dead Demo - it's kinda violent, but it's green blood zombie
violent -- don't know what a school district would say about it, but I gave
it to my kids at home. Note that there are several choices in the demo --
the story, the arcade version, etc., to choose from the opening menu - it's
kinda hard to see:

All the Right Type Demo:
