Thank you for all your prayers and help that has been sent this way. I live in Ocean Springs and teach at Gautier Middle School. I was very blessed that I lived on the north side of highway 90 and now have power, water, and minimal damage compared to several of my friends on the south side of the highway and in Biloxi, Gulfport, Gautier and Pascagoula. I spoke with my principal yesterday and there is not a real time frame yet set for when we might go back. I have heard Ocean Springs will try in four weeks. I heard other local districts on the coast may be six to eight weeks. Hopefully by the end of this week we will have a better idea of what we need for our schools and students. Thank you again for all the prayers. As far as I know, no one was seriously hurt. Gasoline is scarce here. School has been out all this week because of power and water problems. We hope to go back on Tuesday if trucks can get in to resupply the cafeterias.... and if we have fuel for buses. > My prayers go out to those hardest hit in the southern sections of the state.
