I am passing this along from the MBEA Executive Board..
Good morning:
Greetings from the MBEA Executive
Board!
Let me first say that our thoughts
and prayers and with those who were affected by the hurricane. We deeply
respect and care for our colleagues on the Coast as well as
After much thought, we have concluded that it
will be best to postpone the MBEA Fall Conference. Therefore, MBEA will
not be held on September 15-16 at Northeast MS Community College.
Realizing that this semester is going to be hard, the conference will be put off
until the spring. A new date has not been set at this time, but you will
receive information when it is available. The conference will most likely be
held sometime in March. Please check the MBEA website, www.ms-mbea.org, for
updates.
If you have paid for the conference,
there are two options for you. I can refund the $40 registration fee that
you have paid or I can apply your registration fee toward the conference in the
spring. Please e-mail me and let me know your
choice.
I would like to thank our
President-Elect, Pam Needham, who has worked hard to plan the conference for
us. Pam will be continuing to work hard to prepare the conference for the
spring and I know that it will be a wonderful
experience.
Please help spread the word about
the date change for the conference.
Take
care,
Aimee
