The Research and Curriculum Unit will sponsor regional keyboarding and technology literacy training during the spring of 2006. In an effort to acquire highly qualified trainers, an application process will be implemented. Trainer interviews will be scheduled Saturday, November 12, 2005 and Saturday, November 19, 2005. Interviews will last 45 minutes. During the interview, applicants will discuss the contents of their portfolio and discuss a training case study with a committee. The committee will include a Tech Prep Coordinator, a training external evaluator, and a staff member from the Research and Curriculum Unit.
All selected trainers will be required to attend a trainer meeting on Friday, December 2, 2005, at the Research and Curriculum Unit. The Research and Curriculum Unit will reimburse trainers for travel expenses to and from this meeting. We hope that all qualified presenters will apply. We will create a pool of highly-qualified trainers to use in all future technology professional development learning opportunities. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
