MDCC TECH PREP SPONSORS WORKSHOP FOR K-8 TEACHERS
July 17th & 18th
Capps Center - Highway 82 West
Indianola, MS
 
The Mississippi Department of Transportation will provide RIDES
training
for K-8 teachers on July 17th and 18th at the Capps Center in
Indianola,
MS.   There is no registration fee for the hands-on math and science
training.   Teachers who need CEU credit can apply on site for 1.5
FREE
CEU credits offered by Mississippi Delta Tech Prep. Participants must
complete the entire training to receive the CEU credit. 
 
Teachers who attend will receive up to two sets of resource trunks for
their school to complete the activities.   Dress is casual and lunch
is
provided. The training will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m.
each
day. Refreshments and door prizes will be furnished by MDCC Tech Prep.

A large car or truck will be needed to take your trunks of goodies
back
to your school.   RIDES is research based and aligned with the state
and
national standards for math and science. Note that the application
requires a principal's signature.  Seating is limited, so get your
application in asap!
