MDE is currently seeking competitively written proposals to provide school distircts with the opportunity to participate in the Redesigning Education for the 21st Century Workforce in Mississippi initiative as a pilot site. It is the intent of MDE and the State Board of Education to ensure that the selected pilot site school districts are equally represented regarding socioeconomic, geographic, and congressional district characteristics. This grant is seeking applicants who will implement all components of the Redesign initiative over the next 3 years. Funding available from this request for proposals is specifically for the ICT I and STEM Applications lab upgrades. Additional funds will be available for other components of the initiative, such as ICT II and Career Pathways in the future.
