Faculty Colleagues: As reported at the General Faculty meeting on Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, and by e-mail on Feb. 24, 2003, the new faculty title series that have been approved by the Faculty Senate (Spring, 2001) and implemented as O.P. 56.06/80.1 requires that the Charter of the Faculty be amended for consistency. The section of the Charter of the Faculty in question with modifications is attached and may also be found by following the link entitled "Faculty Handbook Changes" on the Faculty Senate website (http://www.facultysenate.msstate.edu). The proposed changes require approval by 2/3 vote of the faculty. Please return the following ballot with your vote to Ms. Delores Hudson (dhudson @senate.msstate.edu) by 12:00noon, Friday, April 11, 2003. _______ Yes, I approve the new faculty title series. _______ No, I do not approve the new faculty title series.
