Colleagues:

I have attached a summary of the Faculty Senate Roundtable held at Lake
Tiak O' khata on March 29, 2003 pertaining to "Graduate Education at MSU".
 Again I would like to thank all of you who participated in the
Roundtable, those of you who did not attend but gave input, and those of
you who provided pertinent information for the meeting.  

We had some excellent dialog about the Graduate Program at MSU and it is
my hope that this will result in some positive changes in our program.  As
a catalyst for these changes, I think it is going to be up to each of us
who has a vested interest in our graduate program to be proactive and
promote the graduate program at every opportunity provided.  

Once you have looked over the document, feel free to contact me with
comments.  Walter and I will compile these and send them on to the Provost
and the Graduate Council.

It has been a pleasure serving as your Faculty Senate Vice President this
year.
