Please read the following information concerning tentative dates,
estimated cost and application forms for the "PUEBLA 2002" trip.

---- TENTATIVE DATES ----

The Mexico Study Abroad program takes begins at the end of the spring
semester and ends right when the first summer term begins. The tentative
dates for the 2002 program are the following:

Depart from the USA ---> May 9, 2002
Return to the USA -----> June 3, 2002

Once we obtain the best deal from the airlines, we would be able to make
these dates definite.

---- ESTIMATED COST ----

As far as the cost is concerned, we estimate it to be around $2,400.00
(excluding tuition). As soon as we finalize our dealings with travel
agencies, we will be able to give you a definite cost.

The services covered by this amount are:

- Application Fee: $100.00 (non-refundable) 
- Round-trip air transportation 
- Ground transportation 
- Room and three meals daily 
- Small group outings with native guides (acompanantes) 
- Banquet with acompaantes at the Hotel Colonial 
- Tour of Anthropology Museum and other sites in Mexico City 
- Tour of pyramids at Teotihuacan, Xel-Ha and other sites 
- Tips 

MSU tuition and the Study Abroad fee must be added to the cost.
Non-resident tuition for those who are not Mississippi residents should
also be added. Mississippi State University reserves the right to modify
fees and/or accommodations as needed. Graduate students will be charged on
a per credit hour basis according to graduate credit hour fees.

---- APPLICATION FORMS ----

The application forms for the Mexico Study Abroad program are not ready
yet, but they will be available online or at the main office of the
Department of Foreign Languages (Lee Hall, room 300) within two weeks.
