I have been asked for clarification on the assignment to read and critique
technology plans, in preparation for class this Thursday evening.
As I mentioned toward the end of class last week, I do want you to go to
the NCTP page and begin looking at some plans. Then, make sure you visit
the special SIP web page (www.msstate.edu/dept/teched/sip) and look at the
process for critiquing plans that Leslie Reed used and that she
demonstrates on her web page. I have placed a direct link on the SIP page
to Leslie's critique page for one of her plans.
Notice the evaluation criteria she used. Make a note of this. I want you
to use those same criteria, as a minimum.
I mentioned some specific plans that I want you to begin focusing upon.
Ithaca, NY
Mountain Brook, AL
Lafourche Parish, LA
So, my hope and strong desire are that you will be conversant about some
technology planning principles this week as we gather again to "ramp up"
our activities. This will be an action-packed week.
[Whisper to alumni: I'm going to let these "newbies" in on the first of
Jim Rohn's videos so they can have their appetites whetted. Don't you
wish you could be in the room with me to watch their faces when their hear
the wisdom dripping from Mr. Rohn's lips???
And, here's a question for you alumni--- When should I show the video
from the Calgary Board of Education? What preparations should I make so
that they will get the maximum benefit from that video? Should I
construct some activities, handouts, or events around that video? Do you
have any specific suggestions about how I should have the students to
chronicle what they hear and see?
So, please reply to me directly....we don't want everybody seeing your
suggestions....we don't want to "let the cat out of the bag, do we?
Remember, my address is LSA1@Ra.......
Thanks for helping me teach this class this semester.....]
