need for more sensitive advising

In light of the administrations admonition to have 
compassion on our "younger " students, I thought a good example might 
be appropriate.

When reviewing a students transcript with three "F's" and one "D", 
the compassionate respone would be "Perhaps you have been spending 
too much time on one subject"
