Hello Group, The name here is Ray Denton and I live in Meridian, Mississippi. I am the Production Center Director for Meridian Comunity College. The College considers me as one of their "technical people" although my technology is somewhat removed from that of this class. I'm an old broadcaster that was fortunate enough to land a job in the academic world after a little over twenty years in commercial television. Now, rather than a Six and Ten newscast, I'm producing live basketball, baseball and soccer for local television. All local Meridian Community College games are carried live by Comcast Cable. Aside from the College Television Center and campus radio station, we handle all campus A/V equipment, a MIDI music lab, campus duplication, Broadcast Production classes and the Community College Network studio (compressed video distance learning) among other things. I'm much more at home with uplink trucks and microwave links than with WEB pages and hypertext links. I just started creating a personal web page today and my service provider tells me that it may be 24 hours before it is actually running. It contains the first technology plan critiques along with some information about me and where I work. This is the second distance class that I have take through Mississippi State University and Dr. Anderson. If it is anything like the last one, it will be more than interesting. With the course description and Dr. Andreson and our guide, it should be a real technology adventure. The page address will be WWW2.netdoor.com/~rdenton/index.htm Hopfully it will be up later tonight or in the mornoing.
