I just finished reading a book entitled {The Magic of Thinking Big} by
David Schwartz. His words have already helped me to change some of my
thinking.
Schwartz says that you are what you think you are. To be important, we
have to think that we are important and then others will think that you
are important too. We should also make others feel important. People do
more for you when you make them feel important. Schwartz says, "You must
feel important to succeed. Helping others to feel important rewards you
because it makes you feel more important." I have learned hat the key to
being successful in what I want to do is to beleive in myself. This is
something that I have always had a problem with.
I have also learned that my ideas are very important. I have always
thought that my ideas were not worth mentioning. I did not think that I
could make my ideas work. Schwartz has made me see this differently. He
says that just having an idea is not enough. We have to act on those
ideas. I have had ideas about improving a certain thing, but I did not
really consider acting them out because I did not think that I could
really make a difference. Thanks to Schwartz's inspiring words I plan to
make (not try to make) a difference.
Everyone should read this book. I promise that it will really make a
difference in your life.
