Hewitt is 10 minutes south of Baylor University (which is in Waco).  
Not many people would stop here unless they were on their way to 
Austin on I-35 and missed all of the Waco Interstate exits.  We are 
primarily a bedroom community.  Along with Woodway, we make up the 
southern border of Waco.  Interesting note:  the school district that 
serves Hewitt and Woodway is partway between the two cities, thus its 
name - Midway.

I'm glad you feel like you have some Texas roots.  I definitely have 
some ties to the Golden Triangle area in MS.
