I recently purchased a book that I may turn in to some type of rearch
paper. The book is called "Failure to Connect." The book is basically
about students who are not successful because of computers and technology.
The book suggests that if students are subjected to technology at a young
age that they may develop addiction, disorders, etc.
I have been wondering how a problem like this may fit into technology
planning.
The questions I have been asking myself are:
1. Will students learn and grow from technology if they are exposed to
it in a proper way and at a proper age??
2. Is planning for instruction part of the technology planning process?
We have to get out of the frame of mind that technology planning us just
about equipment, computers, software, etc.
3. Should there be more planning so that students are exposed to
technology at the proper time??
Just things I have been thinking about. Let me know any thoughts you may
have.
See you Thursday.
