Thinking out loud~~
I get a lot of mail. Probabably not as much as other folks.
If I knew I was getting new information from our department, it would be
no problem for me to go to a web space and check it out.
Hmmm. Guestbooks on Ra send messages to owner of the site when someone
signs the book. What if we have a list like this one that is used as a way
to announce new information as well as a discussion forum. The web site
can be designed using a database (information I know very little about
right now).
In pops the announcement~
New information regarding "blah blah blah" has been posted to
"name of site"
I go to the site at a convenient time for me. Read, and if I choose to
discuss with others, I compose and post the message to the discussion
list.
Or perhaps discussion could take place on the web site.
About the database.
How is new information updated? Who will enter the new information?
THis is what I am digging for now, since I am not as informed on this.
I'm thinking this could get really big. And I'm still thinking...
