Take a look at the toolkit from the Lucas site. The ideational scaffolding ,
the linking to the learning and to the resources , maps out for those who are
not technical, how it works.
What is there that is up close and personal that tames the educational world
just before that? The passport, if you will, the hook to entice the teacher
to explore, the technology? Is it a disk? Is it an experience? Is it
resources and a different kind of PD, is it mentor teachers, agents of change
linking? Is it the awareness that there are resources that make teaching and
learning easier and more effective? Is it the
collaboration? This may be different for lots of people.
In the Milken Project there is an initial assessment of the technology skills
that is not punitive. It is in Eliot's Solloway's project and there are
assessments that are complimentary.
Back from NZealand , but still sleepy. Bonnie
