For anyone that's interested Jim Rohn has a web site at www.jimrohn.com
with quite a few entries. I am listening to his audio tape now The Art
of Expectional Living. So far he is my favorite author of the
motivational books. Unfortunately, my daughter drove off in the car
with the tapes so I can pull anything specific. I do remember him
saying that making excuses and laying blame were useless. It would be
like complaining about anything else you can not change. Like
requesting to have 2 springs 2 falls 2 summers but I'll pass on the
winter. You can't change anything by blaming it. The only thing that
you can change is your own philosophy. He has a good sense of humor and
a wild Mass. accent. I'm trying to find a way to trick my children into
listening to him. He says he spent the 1st 25 years of his life blaming
taxes, politics, economy etc. Then met his mentor and spent the next 6
years becoming a millionaire. Funny how taxes, politics, economy stayed
the same. I look forward to finishing his tape.
I pulled out some quotes especially for Dr. A. You liked the Moby Dick
quote so much. I've been trying to hook my gifted classroom on quotes
for 10 years.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can
change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
Margaret Mead
You can't build up a reputation on what you are going to do.
Plan ahead, it wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
Wishes often do not come true. Goals with written plans are almost
always reached - Lanny Bassham - Gold Medalist
Be the change you want to see in the world
Thanks to Tim for keeping me up with class notes.
