I wish my school board could hear Bob Hughes share the wealth of his
experiences with technology planning. I was excited to learn that the
U.S. leads the world in patents.
Bob Hughes mentioned two problems that were discovered after a 2 1/2
million dollar study was conducted.
1. Kids today are coming to school less prepared.
2. In order to get a job today students are going to have to be
even more prepared than their parents.
One quote from Bob Hughes that I plan to write in my journal is
"Everything "net" down is minimum wage."
The middle class is going to be a minority. This tells us how important
our standards are or should be in education. It is clear that we need to
as Bob Hughes puts it "raise the bar."
