It was interesting to hear an approach to the process of technology
planning from Canada. Cindy Lee Martin and Jim Langley briefly discussed
several steps they have used in the process of technology planning.
1. Understand the external forces relevant to education.
Take a look at other plans that have been developed.
2. Asses the capacity for the school to change. Survey the
school for technology in the classroom.
3. Develop the vision and goals.
Include meaningful technology experiences.
Require a plan for each school.
4. Set goals and action plans.
5. Implement action plans.
6. Review the whole process.
