Calgary Board of Education - Technology Planning Process video
The Calgary Board has 212 Schools, 76,000 students, and over 6,000
teachers.
Cindy L. Martin & James A. Langley shared their planning process that they
used to create their technology plan. They outlined six steps:
1) Understand our external forces that are relevant to education. They
scanned other districts to get help with their plan. They also have a
scanning committee.
2) Assessing the schools change - they reviewed previous technology
publications from Calgary.
3) Develop the Vision - wanted all schools to have a technology plan &
have staff access the technology.
4) Set goals & actions.
5) Implementing Action Plans - they have a Technology Initiative
Committee.
6) Reviewing the process of the technology plan.
