tkt8763-01: Chip Kimball phone call

I totally understand why people say this class is "unlike any other class
they had ever had."  The resources and contacts that we have made are more
than I could have possibly imagined.  I am not going to lie, I was
kind of dreading this class after reading all of the assignment sheets Dr.
A. already had for us in June.  Sunday night, I considered dropping this
class.  I am so glad the Power Above gave me the will to move forward.

Dr. Kimball's interview was extremely enlightening.  I tried to absorb
every "tid bit" of information that he shared.  My only wish is that he
could come speak to all Mississippi administrators to try and "light" a
fire with them.  I am going to try and share the excitement with my
school district but I could never do his speech justice.  

The professional development process the Lake Washington School District
has in place is such a positive activity.  I do believe the incentives
they have for the teachers is something Mississippi schools need to
pursue or teachers will start moving to these districts where technology
and support are available.  

In closing, "If your not using technology in your classroom----you are
damaging your students! --Chip Kimball"   This quote is going in the
journal.  :-)
