Cheryl Lemke is from the Milken Exchange. She has a large technology
background with schools and government. She is helping
governors realize how important technology is for our schools. Technology
costs money and governors must realize that to keep up with industry,
schools must have the equipment to teach the students, to do this the
funds must be allocated. Technology should not be separate from the other
subjects taught at school, but be integrated in all aspects of the
curriculum. Teachers also must be ready to apply themselves to the
changing of the times. Almost every job today uses a computer in some
shape, form, or fashion. Ms. Lemke has a true outlook of the governmental
responsibility of the states to our educational technology needs.
