In response to Dr. Anderson's request for signs that will determine the
effectiveness of a technology plan, I would have to say there would be
three main points. First of all, the plan should contain a clearly
written mission statement. This would describe the technology plan's
"business" - the aims, purpose, etc. Secondly, the plan should include
the committee members and their titles or expertise. To me, this would
help to determine if the plan is accurate and well thought out. In
some instances, people are placed on committees in order to meet quotas
and they have no idea of what is to be accomplished nor any idea of the
subject matter. Finally, I believe a budget well placed at the ending
is important. Most business people will look at the very front and the
last pages of a proposal. The budget should be concise with specific
equipment itemized and a grand total. After all, the bottom line
speaks volumes.
Hope everyone has a great afternoon!
Sincerely,
Melanie Sanders
